About OCI (OCI)
OCI NV is a holding company, which engages production and distribution of natural gas-based fertilizers and industrial chemicals through its subsidiaries. It operates through the following segments: Methanol U.S., Methanol Europe, Nitrogen U.S., Nitrogen Europe, Fertiglobe, and Others. The Methanol U.S. segment includes operations of OCI Beaumont, Natgasoline LLC, and the trading entities: OCI Methanol and Marketing LLC. The Methanol Europe segment consists of BioMCN, located at Delfzijl in the Netherlands, OCI Fuels Ltd., OCI Fuels BV, and OCI Methanol Marketing BV. The Nitrogen U.S. segment handles Iowa Fertilizer Co., a wholly owned nitrogen fertilizer complex, as well as the trading entity, N-7. The Nitrogen Europe segment covers OCI Nitrogen, an integrated nitrates fertilizer and melamine producer. The Fertiglobe segment refers to the company's Middle East and North Africa nitrogen fertilizer platform. The Others segment comprises of all other entities in the group. The company was founded by Onsi Sawiris in 1950 and is headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
