About Knorr-Bremse (KBX)

Knorr-Bremse AG engages in the manufacture and sale of braking systems for rail and commercial vehicles. It operates through the Rail Vehicle Systems and Commercial Vehicle Systems segments. The Rail Vehicle Systems segment supplies products and services for local public transport vehicles, such as metros, light rail vehicles (LRV), freight cars, locomotives, regional and high-speed trains and monorails. Its product portfolio includes auxiliary power supply systems, control components, windscreen wiper systems, platform screen doors, friction material, driver advisory systems, traction systems, train controls and monitoring systems. The Commercial Vehicle Systems segment offers brake systems and vehicle dynamics solutions including driver assistance and automated driving, brake control, brake system, steering and electronic levelling control, energy supply and distribution systems such as air compressors and air treatment, and fuel efficiency products including engine components and transmission sub-systems. The company was founded by Georg Knorr in 1905 and is headquartered in Munich, Germany.
