The Sandbox is on a mission to bring blockchain to mainstream gaming. The project offers the thriving gaming community a blockchain-based virtual world combining the powers of decentralised autonomous organisations (DAO) and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on a decentralised platform, enabling the buying, selling, creating and building of digital assets. Using a “play-to-earn” model, users can be gamers and creators at once, generating and contributing content and creating a metaverse. SAND is the project’s token, which facilitates transactions on the platform and promotes decentralised governance on future project developments.
