Invest on autopilot with Bitpanda Limit Orders

You can cancel Bitpanda Limit Orders at any time before execution. If you don’t have sufficient funds available to meet the limit order, you will get notified and granted a period 24 hours before the order is cancelled. If the asset is delisted or temporarily disabled from our platform, the order will also be cancelled.

Bitpanda Limit Orders combine control and automation. Unlike standard limit orders, you can set a limit order both ways, above or below market price.

Buy the dip: Want to buy a specific crypto at a discount? A buy limit order lets you set your desired purchase price.

Join the rally: Eyeing a coin on the rise? You can create a buy order when the price hits a certain point, ensuring a favourable entry within the uptrend.

Risk management: For managing risk, you can plan your exit and take-profit strategy by creating a sell order at a higher target price. Please note, profit will only be achieved if your investment achieves the higher price.

Stop loss: If you want to be covered in case the price dips, you can create a sell order to try and stop your losses at the price you desire.

Imagine Bitcoin is at £60,000. You can set a sell limit at £62,000 to secure profits if the price goes up, while also setting a sell limit at £58,000 for example to limit losses if the price falls. This two-in-one approach lets you manage your investments without constant monitoring.

There’s currently a limit of 50 open limit orders.

You will get notified after every successful order is executed. You can also view all your executed orders in the notification centre of the Bitpanda app.

Initially only crypto with a +100 million EUR market cap will be supported for Bitpanda Limit Orders and we aim to include more assets soon.

Slippage is when the price at which your order is executed does not match the price at which it was requested. The price movement can be either positive or negative depending on the direction of the price movement. Bitpanda does not guarantee that your order will be filled at target price. If slippage were to affect your positions, we have a slippage control mechanism in place. If the slippage limit of 5 %  is exceeded, the order will be cancelled automatically. For a buy limit order set below the asset's market price, If the asset's price falls below the specified target price, Bitpanda would fill the order at the favourable price.

Sell limit orders can be created only for available assets. Bitpanda Limit Orders cannot be made for assets that are staked.
