The project’s goal is to, as the name suggests, allow users to earn interest on their crypto holdings within the Compound ecosystem. COMP is the native token running on the Ethereum blockchain. Its purpose is to govern the autonomous Compound protocol, which allows anyone to borrow and lend Ethereum-based tokens on a decentralised market. Lenders can earn interest on cryptocurrency they supply to the protocol and borrowers pay interest to borrow it.
