ConstitutionDAO was a decentralised autonomous organisation (DAO) formed in November 2021 with the goal of collectively purchasing a physical copy of the U.S. Constitution. The DAO raised over $40 million in Ethereum (ETH) to fund the purchase, but ultimately was outbid. The PEOPLE token served as a governance token for the DAO, allowing holders to vote on proposals and decisions related to the project.
