About Audius (AUDIO)

Audius was launched in 2018 by two Stanford alumni, Roneil Rumburg and Forrest Browning, with the aim of solving one of the bigger issues in the music industry: transparency of ownership. Running on Solana, Audius is a decentralised music streaming protocol that allows anyone to create, distribute, listen to and monetise any type of audio. Musicians can create time-stamped recordings which are secured on a network of node operators. The native token AUDIO is used to unlock premium features and gated content and as a governance token.
