Consensusmechanisme | Fusion is present on the following networks: Binance Beacon Chain, Ethereum, Fusion. Binance Beacon Chain operated on a Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) consensus mechanism before its operations were discontinued in fall 2024 and its migration to Binance Smart Chain; validators were elected by token holders through staking and voting, limiting active participation to a manageable number of nodes while maintaining decentralization; validators were selected based on the staking weight of their delegators, ensuring stakeholder interests were proportionally represented in the validation process; regular validator rotation was implemented to promote fairness and decentralization by allowing multiple participants to contribute to the network; the system was designed to tolerate some degree of validator failures while maintaining the network’s operational integrity, ensuring resilience. The crypto-asset's Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, introduced with The Merge in 2022, replaces mining with validator staking. Validators must stake at least 32 ETH every block a validator is randomly chosen to propose the next block. Once proposed the other validators verify the blocks integrity. The network operates on a slot and epoch system, where a new block is proposed every 12 seconds, and finalization occurs after two epochs (~12.8 minutes) using Casper-FFG. The Beacon Chain coordinates validators, while the fork-choice rule (LMD-GHOST) ensures the chain follows the heaviest accumulated validator votes. Validators earn rewards for proposing and verifying blocks, but face slashing for malicious behavior or inactivity. PoS aims to improve energy efficiency, security, and scalability, with future upgrades like Proto-Danksharding enhancing transaction efficiency. The Fusion network utilizes a unique consensus mechanism called Time-Lock Proof of Stake (TPoS). In this system, token holders can temporarily lock their assets to earn the right to validate transactions and create new blocks. This approach encourages active participation in the network while ensuring the security and integrity of the blockchain. By locking tokens temporarily, the risk of double spending is minimized and the trustworthiness of the network is strengthened. |

This system aims to increase security by aligning incentives while making the crypto-asset's fee structure more predictable and deflationary during high network activity. In the Fusion network, validators are rewarded by locking their tokens as part of the TPoS mechanism. By temporarily locking their assets, they earn the right to validate transactions and create blocks, for which they receive corresponding rewards. This structure promotes long-term participant retention and strengthens network security. With regard to transaction fees, Fusion aims to keep them at a competitive level to encourage participation and make the network attractive for various financial transactions.
